I've also been shooting the Rimrock 200 in a couple 10mm's. I was out yesterday as well, working with AA #9 and getting good results...

Bluedot, Longshot for the fast stuff. 231 for the target loads. #9 never clicked for me, nor did #7.

Will Longshot give me lower operating pressures over #9 with equal muzzle velocity with these 200 grain loads?

When I asked MBW about the difference between the coated and non-coated 200gr WFNs they said the coated ones are made with a more brittle alloy and are intended as a practice bullet, not a game bullet. They shoot the same in my guns, so it's a win.

In my G29, 8.2 grains of Longshot is very accurate and gets 1150 with the 200gr MBW WFN and the 200gr Swift A-Frame.

220 GR Rock River hard cast bullets, Blue Dot Powder,new Starline brass found an accurate load that shoots to the same point of impact as Buffalo Bear loads.

Buffalo Bore uses Rock River bullets if I recall. I use a heavier spring in a Glock 20 or a Springfield XDM , with 220 gr cast loads Buffalo Bore used to talk about how it changed the shot to shot velocity, helped a lot with accuracy.

Not much data out there for 220 gr cast loads in the 10 mm and factory loads are pushing the max so don't push it in an unsupported barrel.

Kurt, I believe the bullet you're using is a Rim Rock 220grain HC not Rock River. That's the bullet Buffalo Bore uses in it's loads. --- Mel

Have any of you tried the 180 gr CKB bullets? I’ve got a fried that says that’s all he will use now in his 10mm

Agree on Blue Dot, I have a bunch of 215's loaded with it.

I tried Blue Dot and found it too flashy for my uses. Longshot has been great. Accurate powders are rarely available here, but No. 9 there’s consensus it’s a good option.

I’m also curious about how much more penetration a 220 will get you over a 200.

Accurate #9 has a nice controllable recoil impulse & low flash in full power 10mm 200 grain hardcast loads. Those attributes are important to me, haven't tried Longshot but some users reported sharp/snappy recoil characteristics.

I figured the 200 grainer would be a better compromise of velocity & peneration over the heavyweight 220 for my uses. Bought 200 of the Montana Bullet Works NOE version to experiment with.
