Description
I've got more photo's -- Just ask!
For Sale from my humble personal collection is a Winchester Model 94 RANGER in caliber .30-30 manufactured in 1993 in anticipation of this models 100th Anniversary. This specimen is in near new condition, very displayable, but also ready to hunt! The receiver is stamped with “1894-1994” to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the model 94. The Ranger series rifles were standardized with a cross-bolt safety (initiated in 1992); hardwood stock and forend instead of walnut; Barrel length is standard 20 inches; Angle Eject mechanism that will accept a top mounted scope on the receiver; This rifle has seen little use and spent it’s whole life in my gun cabinet. I am the original owner who purchased it new in the box in May 1995 from a dealer. Like the Bradley Fighting Vehicle I served on in the Army, I have kept a documented round count of 160 rounds (provided). I have hunted with it once and the rest of the time bench shot with it at the target range for familiarization. There are no dings, dents, or gouges. Bluing and metal finish are excellent throughout; The only surface detractions are faint handling marks and a few small pinprick sized scratches on the metal from occasional handling and bench rest shooting. There only exists a faint scratch on the rear band when I disassembled it for a thorough cleaning. The wood is perfect with no handling marks because I replaced the originals with plastic Ram-Line stocks and safely put the original wood stocks away so the stocks are as attractive as the day the rifle came from New Haven, Connecticut. By my estimate and honest disclosure, I rate the wood/metal finish as 95%, however, the photos should suffice for prospective buyers to accurately judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Hammer is drilled for a screw-in hammer extension (provided) to help with scoping. I did make two customized modifications to this rifle to suit my personal preference. I had a gunsmith add an original Winchester part post and saddle ring ordered directly from Browning’s parts department and a “John Wayne” style Wrangler original large lever loop that is original Winchester Post-1964 part (all receipts included). Per the photo’s, you get the loose original size lever loop that came with the rifle when I purchased it. As pictured you get the original Red Winchester packing box and every piece of paperwork that came with the rifle the day I purchased it in 1995 (hangtag, red owners manual, smaller white instruction book, note from packer J.Pierson, and my homemade 160 round “roundcount” spreadsheet). Here is an extremely nice, very traditional Winchester model 94 Ranger that a person can scope readily if need be. I am happy to E-mail you lots of detailed photo's.
