I love it. They had stryve brand at Costco a year or two ago but it wasn't there long. When they closed it out u bought several bags. I prefer it to most jerky. It has a more natural beef taste. Like anything some is definitely better than others.
We used to just hang it on a line in our flat in South Africa and put a fan on it for a few days. I like nine pretty simple salt vinegar lots of roasted and coarse ground coriander and a bit of white pepper.
I also made 35 pounds of elk and pork shoulder boerwors last fall. My south African friends that live here now all 3 took some and said it was the best they'd had in the states but said I used a bit too much black pepper. I'm going to make another batch soon. I've still got half an elk in my neighbors freezer I need to finish packing.

Dogs in General
rlott
My dogs, 2 GSP's, 1 GSP/Beagle mix and an Anatolian Shepherd just escorted something off the property. Bear, coyote, bobcat, methhead, who knows. Happens all the time. Whatever it was I could tell they had it handled and didn't even get up to look.
Got me to thinking. Imagine you're a caveman 30 thousand years ago. Everything wants to kill and eat you, usually at night, so you're always looking over your shoulder for the next sneaky bastard trying to infiltrate your property.
Then at some point you get dogs. Finally when the sun goes down you can spend a few hours actually thinking. Maybe designing and making a cool knife or spear. Maybe slip the old lady the lumber in peace. And finally you can get a decent night's sleep.

Re: Browning 1911 22lr

Browning is the way to go. Many of the other 1911 22s are made by Umarex. I bought one on a whim a few months ago. The ATI model. I shot it this past weekend. It functioned flawlessly and felt great. Long term durability and reliability remains to be seen though.

What bullet are you thinking about? For a 158 gr bullet use H110, for 180 gr or 200 gr bullets use AA1680. Post up which bullet weight and I'll dig out my books. 4570fan, I found load data for 158 and 180 gr bullets but would appreciate any info on heavier bullets. Thanks, Bill

Re: How does the New Covenant differ from the Old Covenant…?
DBT
Your earlier summation is incorrect at least as you wrote it. Entry to Heaven is not a matter of good enough. Right! That's exactly what I said. The old law was about trying doing things to be good enough to please God, and Jesus changed everything and said that it was not possible without Him. I don't know how else to word it. The words attributed to Jesus say that he had not come to abolish the law of the prophets, but to fulfill. To fulfill does not mean to abolish or to modify.

Put the comopany's name and phone number on Face Fugg and request that everybody who reads your post call them- - - -repeatedly- - - - - to tell them what a bunch of azzoles they are. Then do business with somebody else. I like this. Or you could tell them your a black entrepreneur and wait for them to kiss your ass.

So now you're offering legal advise ? What happened, get tired of buying .22 ammo you don't need ? to whom was that statement directed at? Me. He's a reseller who got pissed off when I bought thirteen 50 round boxes of SK 22 ammo for dirt cheap back during the last shortage. He complains about it every time he gets a chance.

Put a few ozs of Perm-Up in some pour-on ivermectin and spray from your knees to toes for prevention. You can spray your cap and gnats, skeeters won't bother you much. My Pop always taped his pant legs to his boots with electrical tape while cruising timber. Surprised no one recommended Calamine lotion for after the fact.

How to keep manure from sticking to Dump Trailer
deerhunter5555
I need to rent a dump trailer to haul some loads of manure. Last time I did, the manure stuck so bad I had to scrape a bunch out every load. This manure is for a garden so anything I use cant be toxic. I’ve heard straw works well in first. Any other tricks?

Re: Lying Biden at it again (still)

He's doing a great job making the leftist Dimocommies look like fools, which is exactly what he's being paid to do. I love it when he slips the truth into the backs of the deep state cabal traitors saying things like, "I've sold a lot of classified documents (referring us to the real Biden and Zero and Slick and Killery" or things like "I don't even have time to read these documents I'm signing" and Piglosi says "Just sign them" or when he said "Barack and I developed the greatest Election Rigging Scheme in History". It leaves the MSM and leftists and Zero and Slick and Killery chewing nails with panic attacks. TFF. I was born, but I wasn't born yesterday, especially when Trump has given me many clues. The dumbasses cheered wildly when he accepted the Dimocrap nomination and said, "We must stop being happy only when our side wins and the members of the armed forces must remember their oath." Of course, the members of the Genius Crew and most of those in the Dumbassed Crew were cheering him on too. Of course, those without balls want to run with the rest of the lemmings. I advise those who do to take up long distance swimming. The Lord tells us of the pitfalls involved when running with the world.

Re: 260 Rem or 7-08 Rem....Why would you pick one over the other?

7mm-08
My stockpile of .284 bullets came from a hunting partner who passed and was a serious 7mm magnum guy with Weatherbys, Remington 7mm Mags, SAUMS, 280s, AIs in the mix. The bullets were there already there, so an old wildcat from '55 was a logical choice, for me anyway.
I own five different bolt action models with varying barrel lengths from 18 1/2 -24" for different hunting conditions. Mostly shoot 120 or 139/140 grain projectiles and all easily shoot under MOA.
The .260 inclines me to want to pursue the 6.5x55.

Re: Turning F 16s into drones at Elgin

Yes, I am quite sure that the Air Force would fire on Americans if so ordered. Anyone who believes differently is dumber than a turkey. Maybe not all of them, but someone could be found who would do it to “save democracy”. Exactly. They're "white nationalist" terrorists. Or, closer to home, "insurrectionists". LOL, you guys better clue in Idaho shooter, he thinks the Air Force is turning F-16s into drones in case they can't find a pilot willing to drop the bombs on US citizens. Of course, that blows right by the fact that drones have pilots, so there's that, LOL. You just can not let it go, can you. Drones have pilots......yes today. Have you ever heard of Artificial Intelligence, and progress. It will not be long until drones are fully autonomous, if some are not already. That is the goal. Now, that you have been served your maximum allowable daily ration of education, I will only make note that humor is funniest when there is a kernel of truth in the joke. You have been shown the kernel here numerous times. When your audience is too dim to understand the joke, it will never be funny to him, no matter how many times it is explained. With that acknowledgement, I give up. Too funny. Say something really stupid and then pretend the guy who calls you out for it "just can't understand." AI can't reliably and safely drive a delivery truck on land and you think AI will be used to pilot an F-16 and drop ordnance sometime soon. That's hilarious.
