Found this in the classifieds and couldn't imagine a better fit than a 99PE. It's a 50 year Anniversary Weaver 4.5x with a duplex reticle. 1983 model year, serial number 10. The gold accents and engraving must have been made with the PE in mind. Can't wait to fire it.

No-ox ID a special. Nothing else even comes close. And it goes on the inside - not the outside. A very tiny bit goes a long way. Completely does away with corrosion of any sort. Stops rust on mild steel in an exposed marine environment.

Not to hijack this thread, but I'm a lock for drawing a Colorado MZ deer tag. Not going to be lobbing no round balls though. Draw is in another month.

Just shot some Federal BOR Lock bullets this past week out of my CVA Accura using the Williams Western Precision irons. Things are looking good with both 777 2Fg and BH 209. My 61 y.o. eyes can still get a decent sight picture at 100 yds with the right target.

You Hawken guys are crazy. Using a powder horn, spit patch, etc. Nothing wrong with getting close to your quarry though.

Brown bears are more " docile" then a WY/MT/ID griz
Shots thru the ribs are not the shots you are afforded if the griz is coming at you (charging)
What would have happened if the 9mm hit a rib and deflected or stopped???
The brown bear didn't stop right away, it took a while then meandered off. Not a good plan if the bear is separating your skin from your muscles while you bleed out.

I watched it a few time to figure out the bird was still climbing at your shot. Without the reference of the trees it looked like it peaked and had started down.

It's easier to teach a clay shooter rifles than a rifle shooter clays. If those silly birds would just stay put for a moment or 2.

It’s an interesting assemblage. All high condition. Mostly 80s and then 2000s. Couple from the 90s. Some very nice guns, and a couple fairly rare ones.
