The Arkansas Toothpick variety was particularly nasty. Halfway between a Medieval dagger and a Roman gladius. Here's one made by Randall: And a much more affordable example:

step 1.. start with a big pile of cash. final step you are now broke... Your truth made me smile. But, it need not necessarily be so. Other than aftermarket sights, swapping out fire control parts and some cosmetic changes, all done by me, the bottom two pistols pictured above had barrels made and installed by Bar-Sto, with no other modifications. Though everything in these Biden times costs more, the cost of a properly fitted match grade barrel shouldn’t send a person to the poorhouse. One other observation: Starting with a pistol that rattled like a baby’s toy, the proper fitting of the Bar-Sto match grade barrel and bushing, without more, caused that pistol to lock up consistently solid when in battery (the Colt GM pictured above). It’s what happens when in battery that really matters.

"If you started with iron sighted handguns, and have lived with them (as an avid shooter) for ten years or more, the chances are slim to none that you will became adequately acclimated to the red dot system..."
TRH, be careful with those absolute statements. That may be your experience, but it certainly isn't everyone's.

Great info, gentlemen. Some good points made that I had not considered, and I appreciate it!
Anyway, I found a used SARO for a fair price, but am still interested in the Tisas. I saw a really nice 14-3 yesterday too. I need to get with some local shooters and see if there are any used BE pistols available locally.

This protest strategy is a good way to lose public support for an otherwise meritorious cause. If one were leaning in the direction of a sympathetic attitude towards the victims in Gaza, and then he found himself trapped by this sort of protest, I could understand how that sympathetic attitude could evaporate away pretty quickly.

Dunno about accurate. I can make any bullet un-accurate in a handload.
But in terms of consistency, both the Oryx (6.5mm and .308) and the BondStrike (6.5mm) are plenty consistent out of hunting rifles.
And no special magic sauce required to do so. Just follow the published load data.

My eyes are getting to the point where a red dot is almost a must for good accuracy. They look a little weird on revolvers but I get over it pretty quick when 5 round go into the size of a tennis ball at 50 yards. They even make shooting smallish targets (rock chucks) at 100yards doable. Much easier to deal with than scopes for me. FWIW: Revolver in pic is for sale. PM me if interested in a SBH 44Mag.

Re: when you hate HP printers, alternatives??

I like my Brother Laser printer but it just stopped working. It will not turn on, no lights, no noise, nothing. I’ve tried a different outlet and the online trouble shooting tips.
Any ideas what might be wrong? If the power company hit you with a surge, that will kill them if they are not surge protected. We leave our Brother laser turned off when not in use and that might make a difference with power surges. We've had one for about 9 years now and it just works. We bought this printer (HL 2280 DW) during a promotion for $49.99 The current new model sells for $199.00 so it was a really good deal. The wife goes to pick it up and calls me all flustered, "It doesn't print in color !" I replied, "What do we need color for ?" She says, "Well, I don't know." I got onto this Brother laser model through talking with the local Cartridge World refill store manager. He told me which laser printer to get that used easy to refill toner cartridges. Talk to your local refiller and they will know which printers are giving good service life.
