We've had socialist leaning politicians since shortly after our founding. Woodrow Wilson was an avowed socialist. he managed to subvert the constitution by getting Senators elected by popular vote instead of appointed by the legislatures. The FBI goes back before 1908 and hoover weaponized it. Even Teddy Roosevelt was schooled in Europe and caught the disease. He believed in an overreaching government. FDR gave us SS. He more than the others exerted more government control of banking and industry. Truman gave us the CIA. LBJ was an open criminal and things got worse. The Clintons brought in theft and cronyism. They manipulated the system to enrich themselves. people were murdered. Obama made the Clintons look like pikers. Biden is just a mask for Obama.
Build Back Better; after you destroy it. The democrat party changed names to the "democratic" party thanks to Hillary. They've always been Marxist. They just couldn't afford to admit it until now.

Years ago flew from Detroit to Oklahoma the Oklahoma Bombing was several weeks prior no checked luggage just a brief case and a small carry on bag no problem....on the way back I was searched and my bag and case were rubbed with a chemical cloth to check for explosives....it was like yelling "bomb" when the machine gave a reading they shut down the check line grabbed me put on handcuffs shuffled me and my baggage to a small room asked what was in the bags I said nothing....they opened the bag and found nothing but paper work and clothes....one officer took out a knife and was going to cut the outside cover of my alligator brief case told him if he cut it there would be a law suit and the case cost more than he made in a month....
After a lot of talking and 20 minutes later what had happened was my brief case was next to my loading bench for several days and I was loading shotgun shells....some powder must have got on the brief case and with how rough alligator is stayed on the case in the small crevasse....
After that I made sure to keep everything away for the loading area that was going on a plane....

Picked up a stainless 6.5" New Model Blackhawk for 400 last weekend. Good shape made in 1979. Goes nicely with my three screw from 71 and two screw from 73 (both blued).

My 73 has a SN lower than the new model blackhawk serial number list.

The older I get the less interest I have in "the latest and greatest" hunting cartridges, and heck, hunting rifles in general. (The world of single shot target rifles has captured my heart.) Deer rifles are leaving the house and being replaced by the likes of Ballards and High Walls. The one's that'll remain when the dust has settled, and which serve me admirably for all of my hunting needs, are an original M1903 Springfield NRA Sporter (.30-06 naturally), a pre-64 M70 (.30-06 of course), and the young upstart Ruger #1 (sadly/wonderfully in 6.5x55).

No fancy optics, inorganic stocks, wonder triggers, or precision bedding. Just 95 year old old-school engineering and craftsmanship blended to create a reliably MOA-accurate and rugged hunting rifle. NRA Sporter:
