Canoe's in Alaska
Snowwolfe
04/20/24
When we drive up in 10 weeks or so I will be hauling a 20 foot trailer. This gives me a opportunity to haul up a nice canoe if I want to. Never got into using one when we lived there before but this time around I would like to escape some of the crowds and get into some lake fishing for rainbows and pike. Considering a model that will accept a small outboard. Yea? Nay? Waste of time? Better choices for short fishing ventures? It won't be my only boat if I buy one as I plan on buying a river boat next spring with a 115-150hp Yamaha jet.

Re: Does Advertising Work on You

Advertising works great on boomers, hillbillies and the weak minded.
Take for example—MAGA
The greatest advertising scheme ever. Blinded by hate much? I’d argue the exact opposite. Make America Great Again (MAGA) is a grassroots thing that resonated despite being a so-so catch phrase.

Re: New explosions!

Wow! What brilliant analysis. How did you wrap your tiny brain around such explosive insight without getting hurt? Houthis control the Red Sea. Nobody yet can stop them. They don’t listen to Iran. They don’t give a flying [bleep]. Hezbollah is holding back. IDF cannot handle them. Hamas is far from beaten. And , worst of all, Iran cannot be duped into escalation Israelis absolutely crave. The entire world has been humbled by their masterful restraint. Balls and brains. Who knew? By chance was your previous identity Baghdad Bob?

Re: Does a 25-06 need a 25” to 26” barrel?

I have a couple Remington 700 25-06's. I never wanted a shorter or a longer barrel or a faster or slower twist as far as that goes. As is, my favorite pronghorn rifle and as for me, great whitetail rifles.

I have a very nice marlin 375 win A friend if mine has a mint New Haven Connecticut feather weight classic 300 wsm he would swap even for I’ve got other levers and a few other 300wsm rifles Not a have to by any means but I’ve never shot my 375 Should I just hold onto it Kind of on the fence about it What would you do?? Your Marlin 375 is worth more than the Winchester model 70 300wsm, so there's that.. Someone said the 300WSM's had feeding issues. That was never an issue with the model 70's. In the Ruger 77 and Remington, it was an issue on the early ones. I probably would not trade, but that is on you..

Re: Car Maintenance Question

When I got the truck back from having the tires installed, a month ago, that tire mounting soap was all over all wheels, and it looked much like this. After several days I scrubbed it all off. In the past 2 weeks, this black film has appeared primarily on the front left wheel, also on the rt front wheel.
I just looked at the front left rotor, and felt it, it looks OK and feels smooth.

Blue collar reloading has 3 boxes of 140grain Tipped core lokts @43.95 ea. I believe their shipping is reasonable. I've ordered from them before 10 boxes of Norma Whitetail .308 win and I remember thinking that shipping was reasonable.

Dwayne, thanks for the video. Amazing what individual ingenuity and innovation can do and make a direct impact on the goals for climate change.
What is not amazing is the lack of jumping onto a support bandwagon by either the provincial or federal governments as this does not fit in their myoptic government knows the best solution driven agenda. Although he may have gotten more support if he was a previous Liberal MP.
Unfortunately this story happens way to often with many innovative ideas / concepts being ignored by over government and then being picked up by other countries. I know of a boiler exhaust gases scrubber research project that was ignored by our NDP government and moved to Japan. A animal waste plant that generated fuel capable of use for planes that moved to the US and is in place and use as micro refineries.
I have no idea how as a country we can send millions of dollars to foreign nations and ignore development in our own.

Re: Swarovski 8X30 SLC Binoculars
WMR
04/20/24
This just blows my mind that these have not sold... I had a pair of these for years and then sold them to get some 10x swaros... for a long time I wished I still had the smaller 8x30's since most of the places I hunt it is hard to see more than 100-150 yards.
Someone who ends up with these will be like... Wow, these are great for the money Just say the magic words and your problem goes away. 😳 I gave my SLC 8x30’s to my daughter when she moved. I had other binos but missed them badly. I picked up another soon after. These glasses do a lot of things really well. My favorite all arounder.
