I agree that setting up steel where you expect to shoot pigs would be the best possible way to prepare.
I also agree with the 6.5 PRC and 147 ELD or 7 PRC and 180 ELD suggestions, depending on how windy things get in that location.

I'm not a sub or 300 BO expert, but those pics of the unburned powder are worse than I've ever seen & are a different matter than just dirt.
Do you get ANY of that unsurpassed.
We built a BO for my son & basically had no issues even close to yours.

At If you have wax on the stock already, I see if alcohol can remove as much as possible. May have to sand it back to refinish.
really can't cover wax with a finish, maybe shellac but that is not a stock finish. At present all I have on the two stocks is raw linseed oil. I'm looking for something to add shine, although not mirror like a fancy English shotgun.

Re: Max range for a 10X scope?
Jordan Smith
04/17/24
Max distance for a given magnification depends on two things: your ability to resolve the POA, and reticle subtension versus target size. You need to be able to see the target in the image, and you need to be able to see the aiming point behind the reticle. I can make 10x magnification work well beyond 1000 yards, if everything else is in place (optical quality, target size, reticle).

My aunt was very obsessive over the screws on all the light-switches in her house needing to be timed. I made a point to always change just 1 screw somewhere in the house every time I visited...

In the future I see diminished online sales and increased local consignments. This law is clearly not intended to increase background checks but rather to limit individual gun sales.

Re: Bill Barr says he is voting for Trump

Barr is not popular with MAGA, likely because he would not do what Trump wanted.
But his positions were usually well thought out. I may not agree with many of them, but he was not following the crowd.
He is widely hated by both sides.
Often a good indicator of independence. Doubt he is getting his job back.

100%. And this one is for all the marbles, a fight to the death. The amount of ChiCom cash sloshing around this country will prove to be stunning. 1,000's will go to jail (or worse). Many will be your "favorites". Shrug. I've already been labeled as crazy by some of course, hoping the fight that has to happen will be avoided so they can live out their lives in delusional bliss, while salvaging their meager possessions. Get ready for the blow-back, the commies will not go peacefully. And they have had years (generations) to fortify their positions. Tucker Carlson Warns 2024 Will Be 'Like Nothing We've Ever Seen'
