Re: Ruger M77 Hawkeye SA Walmut Stock

I put one like it on an AW .223, which came out very handsome indeed. I sold that to help pay for my Carbon Howa Mini, but sometimes regret it.
The Hawkeye stocks, like the rifles, are IMO the best Ruger ever turned out.

Re: Iran getting lit up in next 24 to 48 hrs?
TimberRunner

Iran is a weak state. They've just given Israel an excuse to take out their constantly failing nuke program, whatever is reachable by air.
They will do that.
We are 100% sure they don't have a nuke, because the second they had a deliverable warhead, there would be a mushroom cloud over tel Aviv. Iran ain't building nukes to get in an arms race they are building nukes to slaughter jews. Well f' me Tommy....what have you been reading? Guess I was correct. đ¤ˇââď¸

Re: Ammo recommendations for a 7600 in â06
Pappy348

The only factory â06 ammo I ever fired was 180gr Core-Lokt, albeit in a J.C. Higgins M50. Killed my best buck with it with a shoulder shot that didnât exit (no doubt one of the ânewâ CLs without the belt). Total bang-flop. My standard â06 load is a handloaded 150gr NP at .308 speed, presumably about 2800. If forced to use factory now, Iâd start with the ever-popular Federal blue-box. Never tried it, but it sure gets a lot of love here.

Re: Dead Turkey..now what?

Friends of mine have always only removed the breast meat because they didnât know how to cook the thighs and legs. I asked them to give me the legs and thighs so that I could show them how to cook them. Now they keep the entire bird. Always brine wild turkey. It helps with flavor, tenderness and juiciness. The easiest way to cook the legs and thighs is to cook in a crockpot low and slow until the meat falls off the bones. Last week I made bbq turkey sandwiches with the legs and thighs and turkey Parmesan with one of the breast. Turkeys have a lot of meat on them and they are delicious!

Good idea. Try to diversify your posts so it's not completely obvious you are happycrapper and just bĂŹtch about police. No idea who you are talking about, but thanks for reminding us about your mindset. You would have done well against the colonists on that day. Everyone knows you are happycamper dumbazz. Same little old bĂŹtch. You're not even good at trolling. 1) I am not 2) recognizing which side you would have been on isn't trolling. Lisa needed a 1775 equivalent of braces 1. You are a bĂŹtch 2. A terrible troll No and not a troll. And you would have been an armed overseer of the colonists who fought that day.

Re: FN Mauser

I disassemble the bolt last night. It took a chunk out of my thumb. And yes it was loaded with cosmoline. I watched a couple videos on how to do it and they all said to have the safety in the straight up position. Well mine wouldnât do that and the bolt only would come out in the fire position. So I had to wing it and my thumb got in the way. I even took the bolt stop off because it looked greased up pretty good. The chamber and front of the action were packed. It took the most time cleaning, hard getting in the nooks and crannies you canât even see. I also ordered Jim Kuhnhausenâs book.

Re: Barnes 139LRX for 7RemMag

Thanks...I have some test loads ready to go using R22 and H4831sc. I have spoken to a Barnes tech advisor but was hoping for some real world experience from this group. I also have some Accurate 4350 that I will try. Also, I have noticed that Barnes has updated a lot of their data from their one and only manual that was published in 2008. Thanks for the reply. Actually Number one was copyrighted in 1992. I'm looking at it right now. Yes the data is old but some of it is still relevant.

Re: Cop roughs up an 18 year old female

So that girlâs reaction during and after being manhandled like that belies any accusation that she was anything less than completely cooperative throughout that encounter. I donât think Iâve ever seen someone that calm. In fact, she was far more calm and level than the cop whose voice was quivering with suppressed rage and emotion throughout. I suspect steroids at play here.
In any case, completely uncalled for and I have to say the child and her father do great credit to themselves with their behavior throughout. I hope they sue the schit out of the town.
This guy is a menace and needs to be beaten, fired, and jailed. The depravity and entitlement necessary to do that to a girl like that make him completely unsuitable to even be walking the streets with civilized persons, much less being a police officer. In a more civilized age, a mob of concerned citizens would likely have already dispatched him.

Re: Peeling Potatoes
Dillonbuck

Rant warning!
Peel on?
We ate jacket potatoes when I was a kid. Only because every potato isn't a grocery store perfect specimen, and Mom wasn't wasting anything. And I hated the damn dirt tasting things.
Pap used to tell of a fellow worker eating away from the others, everyday. They finally figured out why. It was during the depression, the guy was eating vegetable peels because he left the good food at home.
Today, unpeeled potatoes are the fad. Everyone in the supply chain benefits, except the consumer paying for potato peels. But he is tickled. The expensive place he goes does this special thing!đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł
He also loves his wedge salad. You know the one? They bring you a bunch of salad fixins on a plate and let you do your own food prep. With a scrappy knife, fork only, can't use hand there, while wearing your best clothes. All for the low price of $25 for an otherwise basic salad. The same one the Family Restaurants prepare for you for $8.
