To those that have/had the scope/reticle, how is the reticle in low light? It appears to be pretty thin/light in pics.

Thanks.

Re: 1911 Guys--Angled Bushing? Firecontrolman 04/14/24
Look closely at the slide stop, there should be two tracks wearing the pin where the bottom barrel lugs climb it to lock in battery. Are they pretty well even? The barrel isn’t going back into battery exactly the same each time allowing it change it’s relationship with the bushing. Finger pressure won’t let you feel the difference between cycles.

Re: Fox News flintlocke 04/14/24
Only takes me one mug of tea to cruise the headlines of Wash. Times, Gateway Pundit (yeah, I know, but they get a lot of Jimmy Olson scoops first), Western Journal, American Thinker, Breitbart, Daily Caller, Reason (like to keep up on the libertarians), and lastly...gulp...the Daily Mail to see what mischief the enemy is stirring up. The popular mantra is, 'so goes California, the rest eventually follow' on the road to Marxism. The reality is, California follows Great Britain...hence The Daily Mail as distasteful as it may be.

I’m inclined to agree. I don’t know that FDR knew about Pearl, although the first article I posted does figure that way. Truman, before becoming VP was asked about supporting the USSR. His reply was that we should support whoever was losing, and let Hitler and Stalin bleed eachother dry! I think he was dead right!
Dad was drafted in ‘42. He went into France on D-Day + 3 with the 2nd Armored Division. Drove a half track hauling a mortar squad in the 41st Armored Infantry Regiment.
When he got home after they dropped the bomb, he met my mom, whose family was then living next door to my paternal grandmother.

Free Youth Hunting Coat Feral_American 04/14/24
"Youth Extra Large". Great shape, no tears or stains. Zipper and buttons all intact. My son used it as an outer layer when he was real small and stomping the woods with me. Claim it first, PM me an address, and I'll stuff it in a flat rate box or envelope. Shipping on my dime if it goes to good use. Too good of shape to throw out.

Been there. Done that. Loved it. Can't wait til fall to do it again. It's hard as schit. Mentally drains you and physically whoops your azz. And I'm in damn good shape!

Helps to be able to dial and shoot beyond 500. Big time!

Looks like you could part the carrier just forward of the flutes, but not all the way through, then put a bend in the ramp and slot it so it rides in the newly formed slot in the carrier and straddles the new hub in the carrier. It essentially floats on the carrier. This would addr[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]ess the feeding issues, but not the dropout on extraction issues.

Metal will last 50 years or more and is literally maintenance free!

The one downside to a metal roof is you'll have to sign a cosmetic rider. If a hail storm hits your metal roof and dents the heck out of it, the insurance company won't replace it unless the hail actually breaks the metal.
The only way I would go metal, which I like, is heavy gauge standing seam over plywood sheathing.
