Over the last 10 years or so, Cookie had a run of 4 black mule deer does and a single black buck. None to be seen in in the fall of 2023 though.

I came across a box of this brass recently, and can't find much information about it. Does anyone have any background on it? My picture taking skills are lacking as usual. No big deal, just wondering what I have here.

Strosfann: I am a firm believer in LOTS of scope power for my rimfires - and for adjustable objective scopes on rimfires as well.
My ultra-accurate Kimber 17 SVT (Silhouette/Varmint/Target) has a Leupold 6.5x20 E.F.R. variable scope on it - this 17 Mach2 is just absolute death on Ground Squirrels!
To WAY out there! I use the Hornady 17 grain V-Max ammo in this rig.

I'd lean toward Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40 if that's in your budget.

The Weaver RV7, RV9, and V16 were really good, but often under appreciated, scopes. I bought several of each when Natchez as closing them out a couple of years back.

3. Zeiss West Germany Diatal-ZA T* 6x42 fixed power, Plex Reticle. An extra scope I picked up and haven't used, not much of a fixed power fan for my style of hunting. Nice bright glass, two small scuffs on the ocular end, presumably from a ring. Comes with Zeiss bikini scope covers which have a slight scratches/rash on one end. $500 Shipped
