Re: Suppressor E-Forms Approval

I'm not sure there's a cadence in how they're processing. I know plenty of folks that have been waiting 6+ months, some 3 months and the local GS told me last week that everything he sent in on that Monday was approved same-week. One thing is for sure, once word has gotten out that the wait on approval times shrinking significantly, inventory at your LGS is going to be increasingly limited.

I'm surprised that our Republican Senator Cassidy did not vote with the Democrats. He voted to impeach Trump.
I don't care who or what runs against him, they have my vote. We would have done as well to keep Mary Landrieu.

I am not gonna jump through my ass to get rid of the crap that blocks the screen.
My personality will not allow that happen.
I will just find that I go to the Campfire less and less .....until I go no more. I'm like you but thought I'd give brave browser a try, downloaded the app and two minutes later all those add are gone.

Re: Go to powder for 458 win mag

My .458 is also a Ruger No.1H. Most useful all-around powder is H4895. It can be used for reduced loads or top loads for 500s. H4198 (not IMR) is best for 250gr to 350gr. And as JPW475 has said, A2230 and 2460 are great performers for 400gr - 500gr. The big advantage of the Ruger No.1 is its long throat (all .458s) that has no magazine to restrict COL. A 450 - 500gr TSX can be loaded to 3.78" (crimped in the bottom cannelure. I don't always crimp - it depends on the bullet, but most loads are seated long. The 300gr TSX is crimped into the bottom cannelure for a COL of 3.25". Seating "long" leaves more room for powder space. . . in fact, in many cases (pun intended) more than a Lott. The 250gr MonoFlex (Hornady - not the 325 FTX) is a tough bullet made for the 1895 Marlins and single-shot .45-70s, but it's a great bullet in my Ruher No.1H. I push it at ~2700 fps from 65 grs of A5744, and that's far from tops, but it's accurate and good for anything to moose. Etc. The best all-around load is the 404gr Shock Hammer at up to 2550 fps using any of the best powders for heavier bullets, like H4895, 2230 or 2460. Some newer powders also work well. Anything good in a .223 Rem will work well in the .458. Go to the .458 thread on Express Rifles and Big Bores Only for enclyclopedic knowledge and information. Bob www.bigbores.ca

Should be a laser.
What bullets do you have in mind for the 327?
I get a kick out of the guys you have stirred up over on the S&W forum who know that it won’t “have enough power to take down a deer”.

The schools across America are taking their lead from the FEDERAL department of Education. It's time to eliminate the Federal department of education and turn the schools over to the local taxpayers.
kwg Absolutely!! Needed to go decades ago. There's no authority delegated to the Federal Government to have any involvement whatsoever in education.

No surprise there, it was a waste of time & money before they even started. Who knew? Never a waist of time seeking justice. As for a waist of money, how so? How is it a waist of money for members of Congress to follow the law and the Constitution. Call this process a “waist of money” is akin to saying Republicans should never oppose the Democrat agenda, waist of money, the Democrats will win anyway, so just hand them whatever they want to save money, idiot.
