However, bird dogs are not the only interesting dogs out there although they should take precedence over others. After all, it is a hunting forum.
But maybe someone would like to see a picture of someone's Rat Terrier line up

Love terriers, have always had a soft spot for them.

Growing up on the farm, we always had a mix of terriers and terrier mixes. They were there to handle the rats as few of the barn cats wanted anything to do with a grown rat. Whenever an outbuilding was taken down or especially if burned everyone who could make it brought their dogs over to kill rats as the rats bugged out. The dogs got pretty tired and a bit chewed up those times. But they were pretty happy and proud to be doing what they were bred to do.

My first "hunting dog" was a Wirehaired Terrier/spaniel mix. She pointed birds on occasion but mostly flushed them. She was a pretty good at finding cripples too plus became a fair squirrel dog. She would go crazy with excitement when a gun was brought out even though she was incredibly gun shy.

Let me know when you start selling. I've got a couple boys that wouldn't mind some knives.

I noticed that also. I have several sets, and all those but the two 1/4 inch holes are holes To take weight off, it weighs 2.3oz now, and I think it will end up right around 4oz or slightly over.

Really nice guns, I had a Specialist for several years. I sold it to a friend to fund a Baer, which I prefer. I do hope to add another DW at some point.

Tough to give her up, she was my dad’s retirement present to himself for a lifetime of work.

But she needs to be driven more than I need to keep her.

I40 ballistic tips kill deer just as dead as a partition. I load 120 TTSX in a 6.5 Creed and a 6.5mm-06. They do well.

Despite objections here, split pea can be good.
Miso is good.
My fav is Pike Place clam chowder (from that specific restaurant, not just any clam chowder found around Pike Place).

There was a old outdoor book in used to have that was printed in the 50s I believe and it recommended pulling the buttplate off drilling a few holes for a survival kit and extra ammo

Re: .264 bullet recommendations flintlocke 04/12/24
I don't think there are many bad 6.5 bullets at sensible velocities, but I bought a bunch of PPU 156 RNs because they fed well in my 6.5 Mannlicher (and they were cheap) , ended up using them in 6.5 Swede and 6.5 Norwegian Krag also. With great results. They are not target bullets...but for killing deer, I don't see how they can be improved on. In these days, I realize it's not very trendy to shoot deer at modest velocities under 200 yards, but if that describes your hunting, they work very well....there is a lot of lead exposed at the tip and it opens fast. Some of the newer offerings made a pretty small entry hole...and they would seal up with fat and hair. I have seldom hunted much of anything but Blacktail and Black bear, and a heart shot is not a stopper...they will go up to a hundred yards, which doesn't sound far...unless you are in steep ground with undergrowth. Then it's nice to have some blood to follow.

I got nothing against short guys. Hell I'm certainly not tall myself.

It was that extra half inch on the license that I found humorous. RIP Mr. Vogle

Hey retard, "all time high" doesn't mean keeping up with demand does it? Do you suppose if leased government land was allowed to be drilled and pumped from we would be keeping up with demand? Keeping up with demand meaning less the 2 dollar a gallon gas. It is funny how you leftards can't grasp the problem or the solution and your very meager thought process comes up with calling GOP voters stupid? When are you going to claim that idiot Biden as your president and let him take credit for high gas prices and inflation?

Like I said, Steve Bannon is the one that said it. He acknowledged the GOP voters have no idea that US oil production is it record levels. By the way, you see it all the time on this website alone. GOP voters are clueless, and that’s all Steve Bannon said it.

Too bad. Bound to happen with hundreds of millions of contacts per year. The law of averages says there will be bad contacts. They should be disciplined and/or charged criminally if needed.

All I have is my dad's 514 single shot. I had it drilled and tapped for a scope base back in my teens. It is pretty accurate and, for some reason, it thrives on bulk Remington Golden Bullets. I think I need a new extractor as empties are sticking in the chamber. It has always done that but it is happening more often. For whatever reason it has never liked to extract Shorts from the day my dad brought it home to today.
