I bailed on a 5th model at auction a couple weeks ago when it got too rich for me. Should have probably stuck with it for another hundred to see what happened.
I assume even with the forcing cone cut for wadcutters they’ll probably shoot a RN or SWC acceptably well?
All but the 1st models based on the Army special use the same lockwork, correct? I’ve never been a big time Colt mechanic, never saw the volume of them I did S&Ws, but I do know my way around one to some degree.
A Shooting Master would be neat to go with my N frame 38s but they’re more than I want to spend unless I found a deal.

I shoot a 5" SW 686 plus and fav load is the 200 grain WFN-Hard Cast at 1,200 mv.
The 357 is very much alive and well in my stable of guns. Just a note that Mackay’s ammo for the 357 170 grain Keith SWC at 1350 fps us nice also

Sounds like they were very reasonable. That old scope would have never been worth $750 today I'm sure that's $750 against MSRP...best bet would be to swap it for the current XV3HD equivalent, sell it, and buy an Elite 4200 4-16x. And get into another discontinued scope, but from a company with awful customer service and a shady warranty policy

The merchant mariner thing is a joke. Email them a document and they can’t get it in the system for 2 weeks.
I just did my 4th renewal. Every time it seems they get worse and worse.

Meopta north america is closed. They are closing all but 1 optical plant as they were bought out by a company that will now produce medical equipment. I was told they would still honor there warranty. But who knows for how long.

Wray says that there are 33,000 active gangs that are nationally connected to each other within the 50 United States.
These numbers do not begin to reflect the many small, local, sub groups (3 or more people) in many US cities.
AP, CNN What Wray fails to tell you is that the Mexican Drug Cartels now control most of them. The United States is going to turn into Mexico one day in the near future, Politicians and most cops will be owned by the cartels. Most politicians already are under their control. No doubt that drugs are the main driver. That much money and politicians go hand in hand.
