Do anyone say, “I used to fugk guys like you in prison”? The newly released? Yes. In the original that’s what the bad guy tells Patrick Swayze when they’re fighting by the pond.

Re: Random thoughts on Carbon Taxes
czech1022
03/22/24
I am waiting for some "journalist" to ask him how much CO2 has been reduced in the atmosphere by his carbon tax.
The answer, of course, is none - it is growing, and will continue to grow forever, as long as China and India stay on the path of industrialization - which neither will ever abandon, either for the welfare of their people or the welfare of their economy.
The "carbon tax" is just an excuse to raise taxes, with a goal to impoverish the average man and turn Canada into a socialist/welfare state where the elite have total power.

Russian False Flag
Teal
03/22/24
Shooting and blast in RussiaI've seen video inside and the like - seems like this is actually happening but that doesn't mean it's not a false flag designed to create dead perps tied to Ukraine or something. Figured I'd post this to start the convo as it's all over Twitter/X - which means it should hit the Fire late tonight or tomorrow maybe. Depends on Toot's nap schedule.

Re: TAVR Heart Procedure
Houston_2
03/22/24
^^^^ CCCC, thanks, Man. I had open heart surgery done this past early December with replacement of the mitral valve (bovine tissue), 2 ablations, a clip and one minor bypass. Prior to that I had no idea of my condition that was caught on approval for surgery by my primary physician before a knee replacement. 3 years prior a complete cardio work up testing showed all was well and zero issues.
My aortic has minor leakage not yet described as even moderate but I may need the TAVR at a later time thus my queries on it from those with knowledge of it.
I do have a minor flutter remaining and will most likely have another ablation in the near future. I’m visiting the “electrician” in 2 weeks.
Again, my thanks to all of you guys for your input. It is appreciated.

FreeMe;
Exactly! I knew I wanted night sights before I ever bought this pistol. I like them on ALL of my semi auto handguns.

JB/MD - From C&C to Monolithic
RevMike
03/22/24
John (and anyone else with tested experience):
There are basically two opinions (and seemingly no real consensus) regarding the switch from common cup and core bullets to monolithics, with particular reference to bore cleaning.
1. Clean to bare metal when switching from C&C to monolithics; 2. Don't worry about it and just shoot.
When it comes to accuracy, have you (or anyone else) tested the two opinions in order to verify whether or not it makes any real difference? If you've already written about it, perhaps you can point me to an article or book chapter.
Thanks, as always.
Mike

Dead battery in the 17 Silverado. Which means I will have to partially disassemble the damn thing and need a dozen metric sockets to do so, before I can pry the friggin battery out. 🤬 Dont dilly around and miss that clearance down at the Big Lots. garlic stuffed olives, 45cent a jar If they have a sale on weird eastern European mustard in little glass jars, I'm in. The with bird seed mixed in? And get some expired Martindale apple fizzie

Re: Suzuki ts700 apache
Jahrs

The out swept rear fender was only offered in 1973. As was this paint scheme. If I was to consider buying one of these it would depend on that. Just about any 70s’ enduros are staring to bring a premium price. I’m afraid to think what the msrp would be on this thing. If this particular bike speaks to any particular market, it’s Me!! LOL The swept out rear fender started in 71. You had better check again. http://suzukicycles.org/TS-TC-series/TS185.shtml#gsc.tab=0I had a 72 185 and it had a chrome downswept rear fender. Removed all the lights, put on knobby tires, expansion chamber and adjusted the sprocket sizes and I had one heck of a trail/hill climbing bike. The ts185 were said to have had the highest hp to weight ratios of most of the other offerings. I put a 21" aluminum front rim on mine which help in the woods a lot and seemed to make the steering a lot more responsive in general. Opening up the rear swing arm for a wider knobby and 13/54 sprockets it would out climb most any bike that I ever rode with.. It cut the top speed down to about 55, but it would pull a wheelie in 5th gear all day long! The oil injection was a nice feature for its day. I think without any modes a 4” back tire was max and yes a 21” front was much needed. Yes sir mine was a heckuva wheelie bike too. I tried to learn how to wheelie on a Honda SL 100 but was pretty much unsuccessful until my mom bought me the TS185J Sierra, it was extremely easy you just had to get over the fear of falling backwards. I still have dreams of doing wheelies on that bike.
