Some of you fuggers have no idea, what do you wanna do with the [bleep] bag parents. Therein is the real problem and the school can't fix that one. Yep. I get a kick out of listening to politicians rant about kicking azz on the schools to improve. The pink elephant in the room is the pos parents that produce a kid that is unable to conduct themselves in a classroom setting. The teachers are shot out of the saddle due to kids that can’t be taught. Take some time to talk to teachers about their experiences today. It will disgust you. That’s why I stated earlier that problem kids need to be removed from the classrooms.

AceNEights: If you are on a cruise ship DO NOT get off the boat should it stop in haitti! Many decades ago the VarmintWife and I were cruising the Caribbean and one of the stops was haitti. It was an offensive slumish hellhole then and NOW it is 10 times worse. And this don't fall asleep in the tropical sun or your pasty Alaskan skin will burn and blister - don't ask me how I know. Enjoy your sunbreak. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Atheists are only self proclaimed atheists ...., because they hate that the Bible clearly states that sexual perversions are sin
the sins that self proclaimed atheists rebel against God for, are
Pedophilia Homosexuality Bisexuality Crossdressing
Every single atheist considers those as "Love is Love" because they all engage in one or all of those perversions ...... and it enrages them with a demonic hatred of Christians because they know the word of God prohibits these sexual perversions Swamplord: That sounds crazy. Surely you are engaging in hyperbole? He really is this unhinged. His hate is so strong he's lost the ability to employ his reason. This makes people like him and GunChamp perfect targets for foreign influence campaigns such as those Russia's been running against the US since the beginning of Cold War. Of course Russia doesn't only target the right. He has counter parts on the Left equally susceptible to different kinds of propaganda operations, but they are typically yelling "Orange Man Bad". The very first thing the self proclaimed atheists always do, is ridicule and paint those who speak up with "hate" "anti-semite" "racist" "bigot" "homophobe" "transphobe" etc & etc .. and they keep making up and weaponizing new -ist & -phobe words at their convenience all designed to shut you up your kryptonite doesn't work on everyone You're the one who began a rant about: Pedophilia Homosexuality Bisexuality Crossdressing and it was a Christian who said: Swamplord: That sounds crazy. Surely you are engaging in hyperbole? That's what happens when you respond with your emotions, not your logic. You make unforced errors. Now stop and think for a moment how that can be harnessed by nefarious foreign actors. Now think about how those same actors can harness "Orange man bad" against you.

Re: Thoughts on early TD 1899 38-55. New to forum

38-55 headspaces on the rim, and excessive headspace could be the reason primers are backing out. An easy way to check is to load a round, put a piece of thin solder wire (not over .040") between the bolt and case head. Lock it up, then measure the thickness of the compressed wire. Compare that to the protrusion of the fired primer.

I've never had any trouble making extremely accurate loads with my CM, love the thing. Obviously they can be programmed to speed up the process, which I did, and I use an insert that helps the process as well to negate overthrows. It's very accurate, I'm never in a huge hurry reloading so it's plenty fast enough for me. I'd get another in a heartbeat.

If you want a quality custom rifle, then those details matter. If you are looking for just a Swede in a M70 then they do not. You should talk you your gunsmith if you have a specific bullet in mind to use or at least the heaviest you expect to use. That will determine best twist and chamber throating.

Re: Primer storage?

Have 41k in Harbor freight Bauer storage system tool boxes . The boxes are sealed and have desiccant pks in them. Same with my powder and its all in my cool dry basement. Do keep several pounds of powder and a couple hundred primers in my bench cabinet .Will be adding another toolbox to hold the containers that i'm currently working out of. Used ice chest before , the Bauer system stacks and rolls so can move quickly if needed.

*** UPDATE *** The rifle came with a set of EAW pivot bases but no rings. A set of EAW rings and bases retail for almost $600. Fortunately I found a used set of rings and bases for a Sauer model 600 for $175, and used only the needed rings. Then I added a 1980s Leupold 1.5x-5x scope. On-and-off scope function is great. (see updated pictures) Next week I go to the range to test it. [ Linked Image]
