Re: self checkout hits news stations

The local station I watch has recently changed their morning format. Fewer anchors and more area or neighborhood reporters. Looks to me are terminating or allowing attrition to cull the higher priced in studio talent. I live in an area that has quite a few submarkets so sort of makes sense.

[quote=308ld] K, where did you find the UL LA synthetic stock. I've been looking for one for awhile. I have an UL 257 Roberts, blue / wood, I'd like to put in a synthetic full zytel.
I bought a Ruger Ultralight 270 and used the stock for the RSI. I then sold the 270 barreled action. I looked for a stock for long time and could not find one. I do have a short action synthetic stock that needs a short action RSI. Several years ago when those UL 270s hit the market I thought about the same, but never followed through. Very nice 6.5.

WW3 won't look like 2, the same as 2 didn't look like 1.
"Those that be" evolve and learn. WW3 is basically WW by proxy. Be it Ukraine, Iran/Israel etc - it's about alignment and getting other people to fight to increase your influence. Neither the US/Russia or China really want a peer/peer war as it were. It's easier and less costly to fund other ones. Same as it is, same as it ever was.
Besides - if you send YOUR people to fight and die, they're not home to work and tax to pay for it all. Better off sending the other guy.

32 inch tvs are 99 bucks hulu is like 14 bucks and you can use your phone as a hotspot. You cannot be that broke.. Thanks for the suggestion, seriously. I don’t have streaming, TV channels etc because I ain’t ready yet to become some old guy sitting at home alone watching TV. So instead I’m some old guy sitting at home alone looking at a crapload of YouTubes and getting on the ‘Fire 🙂 Actually, I ain’t at the house much.

I always enjoy your research and write up of your results. Does my old guy memory recall warnings about reducing H110? I sure don't remember any particulars. Take care, Rick Yeah Rick, there use to be info about reducing the H 110 loads....but then some of that is lawyer stuff, due to someone at their load bench screwed up... and wanted to sue someone else to get some money out of their screw up. I've got some 223 ammo loaded here that I used some H 110 in....I thought I had issues with it...too loud of a bang, and it didn't feel right... then the same amount of W 296 didn't give me the same experience even tho I had the same charge with it also. I tend to let my rifle tells me what it likes. I do that with each rifle, even if I have several chambered in the same caliber. Just habits picked up, from issues found at the reload bench.. why one bolt action will take this load and work well, while another brand or just different chamber dimensions, will not work so well. I look at load manuals as suggestions, not Bibles. One can come across to many different variations in reloading... the best approach I've found is let each rifle tell me what it likes the best. Some will digest anything in a manual, and others have been real particular. I know W 296 and H 110 are suppose to be the same powder. However I am seeing some of my rifles I've tried W 296 in do very well with it, but then using the same charge of H 110 are finicky, Some kids are picky eaters and some aren't. Rifles seem to be no different. So I let it tell me what it likes.

He’s clearly desperately trying to get around the fact that there has to be a designer for the design. Nah, he just fumbled his explanation.
