if there is one powder I avoid in the 223, it is H 335.. although I know it is a standard goto powder for the 223, I have had some bad luck with it..

I have had a standard load of 25 grains of H335 and a 55 grain bullet, not only blow an action up enough to have to have the stock replaced on a Ruger 77 in 223... but after I replaced the stock, two months later it did the same thing again! Blew the action to needing repair and destroyed the stock...

ended up giving the action and barrel to a gunsmith friend.... and the stock was made into firewood...

powder was not from the same lot number..

one was a factory load from Blackhills...



Blew up? WTF? I've got 60's sitting on 25 gr. of '335 @ 2.276 and am just starting to see pressure.
