I put this in the "regular" fishing forum as well but I know lots of people that once they start fly fishing don't do much else so I thought best to try here as well.
My nephew caught a nice trout (I wasn't with him) and it was released. Now I'm thinking of getting him a "mount" to commemorate the catch. It was, give or take, 20" and there are a couple pics. I was thinking of maybe having something of that size in one of the replicas they have now...or even a nice carving...with a picture attached.
Any recommendations for something of this nature at a decent price that actually looks nice? I'm sure there's a gazillion places on the web but it'd be nice to not have to go in blind.
If there's one thing I've become certain of it's that there's too much certainty in the world.

Can't offer up a specific replica maker as mine were done the old fashioned. Tip to tip and girth measurements would help, but with something for scale in the images those might be derived.
Good luck,

Fiberglass reproduction mounts are the way to go. They last longer and don't age. There is no reason to kill a fish today for taxidermy purposes. Heck, it's a sin to kill any trout in a river.
Supply the taxidermist with the pics and they will match it the best they can. I can't recommend anyone but it sounds as though fishnut has a lead for you.
