Well, hope everyone had good luck on the draw. They where posed early this year, I checked last night and saw I drew my Murderers Creek rifle bull elk tag, nada on the rest. I think this was maybe my 30th or 31st year trying for a sheep tag:)

Anyway, looks like I'll be chasing elk and blacktails with a general tag, hope everyone had better luck!!

I got everything I put in for.

Deliberately put in for pref points for antelope and buck deer, put in for, and drew, Chetco antlerless deer and SW Cascade ML elk.

Gonna be a good fall!

Congatulations on the bull tag1

It would be good if everyone could draw something, though I see at least one of us didn't.

Our group did OK.

We drew Buck Deer in Sled Springs and Antlerless Deer in a No CF Rifle area near Joseph.

No elk though. Off to the land of general entry elk on the coast I suppose.

I had the same draw last year [no 1st season elk tag] plus an antelope tag. I filled all those and hope to again.

I only have a couple of packges of elk left though and that is my wife's favorite. What to do?

Good luck this year folks!

Good luck on the muzzle
loader elk hunt, Tom.
That's a good tag to have.

I'll be on general tags as well. Good thing we can at least buy some tags over the counter...On to bust the balls of the 3% success rate again... wink

It's worth the wait. Sort of.

I'll likely be dead before I get back to 15 points though.

Swing and a miss think I will need a 100 points for speed goats. Non res and all

Barbarosa that's a grand idea. A guy pays all that money he should be able to pass it on if he meets the man upstairs before he draws it should be his choice who gets them.

That would make point creep much much worse than it is now. Every old person it town would be in the draw so as to give the points to someone.

Swing and a miss. Too bad I consider Oregon a back up plan to hunting out of state where the opportunities are much better!

You're living in heaven, I'd hunt there if I was closer. Took my biggest blacktail and bear from your area. 2 points for elk for me, no draw for Chetco.

Now you are sounding like Alaskans after they haven't drawn a TMA or DCUA sheep tag smile

Drew a couple I was aiming for, non-resident at that! WH#1 Prongalope via 18 points And a Rocky Mtn #1 bull rifle tag for Raghorn Ridge wink It's going to cost plenty for tags after moving but managed to secure time off work for both seasons - done by necessity prior to submitting the apps. I think it's a first for my planning to work out so well, fingers crossed. Both hunts are in old stomping grounds I really enjoy and will be solo season-long affairs. Tickled pink.

Not all bragging though, Just TODAY, I-remembered-I-forgot to apply for resident tags! Dohhhh!
