BTW, is the tang attached to the pommel...on the Randall and on the similar one that you made...?

If I do a pommel, the stick tang will go all the way thru the handle and be threaded to the pommel.
In those above, there is a threaded rod welded to the end of a half stick tang.

Thanks. That sounds like a 'solid' way to do it. I've heard it referred to as a 'through tang'.

BTW, that drop point hunter that you made me years ago is built like a brick $ch!thouse. It's like a Zebco 33 or an older 870...an 'old faithful' type of tool.

Yeah, you used to see a ton of that style with Solingen and some other name stamped on the blade. Also some of the Marbles had the same look. Was one of the styles I been thinking about doing for a while now.
