Anybody got one in 44 mag, are they worth the money?

I have a Winchester 1892 in .357 mag and the rifle has been very satisfactory. In fact, I have been buying Winchesters since high school and they have all been keepers.

The issue may really be does that rifle design in .44 mag suit your needs? If so, you cannot go wrong with the Winchester.

The finely made Miroku '92 is a gem. The JMB design is strongest in class, stronger than the Marlin. Hard to go wrong with that one.

I have the Miroku 92 SRC in 45 Colt. It's worth every penny of the $1000 I paid.

Also have a 92 made in 1892 in 44WCF. It's more than way cool.

The quality of the Japanese made 92 is superb. Much better than the Rossi junk. The only complaints I have with the modern Winchester is the tang safety, rebounding hammer and real poor stamping of the serial numbers. If you can find an older Browning, you will have found Utopia in Modern 92's...

Let a Browning model 92 .357 go in a fit of stupidity. mad Now a lesser Marlin serves, albeit rather ungracefully with utter and total disregard for passion, in it's stead. Sigh. Mostly, it languishes.

I recently acquired a Winchester M 92 (45C) that is stamped 1 of 500 Limited Series and has a certificate indicating it was made in partnership with Davidson's.

When were these made?

I checked the Blue Book and on line, couldn't find specific info.

I'd send Davidson's an email.

Yes, I sent that inquiry to Davidson's earlier today. I too had sifted through my books and online looking for some answers. Thanks DF.

Counted my chickens before they hatched. This deal did not go down. I'm bummed.
