I have a 2006 Dodge 1500 SLT Reg Cab 4.7L 4X4 with Nitto Terra Grapplers. 45K on the tires, they need replacing.(275X60X20) Need new tires. Looking at Cooper Discoverer AT3, General Grabber AT2. Since I bought my Polaris Ranger a few years ago I hardly drive off road anymore. About one week of snow driving a year is it. Before the Nittos I had Goodrich Long Trails and lost two mpg after the switch. Experiences?

I'm running Cooper AT/3's on my Tacoma and Wrangler. Been very pleased on snow, ice, mud and pavement. I put them on my truck just days before the ice storm locked down Atlanta and N GA in January 2014. I was out after midnight shuttling stranded people back home from schools, hospitals etc. We got the same ice as Atlanta, but in a more rural area didn't have to deal with thousands of abandoned cars on the road. Never spun a tire. Fuel mileage is exactly the same as before. They are rated as a 55,000 mile tire. I have 25K on mine and they seem to be holding up well. Cooper is currently running a $70 rebate through July 15. http://us.coopertire.com/

Hercules AT2 is made by Cooper and is almost identical to the more expensive AT3. Hercules also has a better warranty. Both of the tires are super quiet and get great traction. Really good road handling. I am a fan.

I've been real pleased with my AT3's so far. Great tread wear and quiet. They do chirp easily on pavement as anything with good tread wear will do.
If you love someone set them free If they come back no one else liked them Set them free again

If you don't drive off road much, my 3/4 ton Ram uses Michlein LT2's. Really good on icy roads and great mileage. My old 2000 Jeep Wrangler wore the Cooper AT series, the last two being AT3's. The only tires I know of that offer any better performance are the kevlar based tires. And that's just because they have stronger side walls. From your choices, I'd do the the AT3's. Mine got lots of use driving our windy mountain roads in all sorts of weather as well as lots of off road use. E

I have a Dodge 3/4. The tires are Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A's, load range E,which aren't a real aggressive tread. They're pretty quiet on the road. I just turned over 30k on them and have over 1/2 the tread left. I should easily get 50 to 60k out of them.
