I am planning an Alberta moose hunting trip for 2016. I was wondering if anyone had any input about the general health of the herd or any specific areas or outfitters to consider or to avoid. Thanks for any feedback.

We had a few hard winters in 2013 and 2014 which hurt the populations, particularly in the Grande Prairie region. 2015 was a better winter, but populations take a while to rebound. I can't comment on outfitters as we do it all ourselves.
