Can anyone tell me where I can find a barrel [new] for a 5.6x52R [22 Hi-Power] which uses a .227 bullet

I believe Lothar Walther makes blanks for 5.6x52R.
But some of the real .22 Savage Hi-Power experts are down on the "Savage Collectors" forum here.

What are you building, curious minds want to know?
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

219 Zipper will give you more choices of bullets and brass, and be just as retro-fun.

If I were doin' this (of course I'm not....), I'd do a .25-35. More bullet choice and more versatile: you can load it to replicate factory .25-20 up to near a .250-3000 in a strong action like that. No case forming.
Lighter, better shaped bullets with a little more "ooomph" that a strong action allows takes the .25-35 into big game territory. And you can call it a "6.35x52R" if you're feelin' all "Continental"!

I shoot deer with my .22 HiPower. That big game territory? If you get a barrel made, I would suggest 1-10 twist. I put a liner in mine with that twist and it handles the 70 grain bullets (Only .228 game in town) a lot better.

Buffalo Arms has .227/.228's from 45gr to 70gr.
If you do a 25-35 it's Euro name is 6.5x52R and it is a farely popular loading there or was anyway.
Like said above go 219 Zipper with a fast twist as there are a number of heavy .224 bullets out there and it would be so much easier to deal with. It would make the rig so much more versatile and a great selection of bullets.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.
