While they last.

"Brightvue" mult-coat lens coatings with up to 92% light transmission.

I don't know how these scopes compare to the Leupold, Redfield, and Sightron lines, but they are on sale for $100 at the LaVista, Nebraska, store.

I'm betting these are not the old Buckmasters but the new Buckmaster II which is Nikon's bottom of the line scope - even below the ProStaff line. They retail for $125 and I'm betting they have an instant $25 rebate on them getting them down to $100. Don't expect the quality of the old buckmasters in these.

Rather than guess or bet without any information, I called Cabela's and was told that these are the old Buckmaster line and Cabela's is just closing out their remaining inventory. The regular price was $229.95, first marked down to $129.88, the current on-line price, and further marked down to $99.88, the current "while they last" in-store price. This is Cabela's item # IK-714343 and you can look at it at www.cabelas.com.

I went to The Cabela`s in Green Bay today and this is not the old style Buckmaster. It does not have the finger adjustable turrets. It had different contours than the old style. It is for sure their bottom line scope.

Whatever they are, what they aren't are Buckmaster IIs.

The Buckmaster 3-9x40 BDC scope that is on sale for $99.88 in the store is stock # IK-714343.

The Buckmaster II 3-9x40 BDC scope is stock # IK-714389.

I bought 2 of these scopes and put one on my 260 I just bought 2 weeks ago. Dogshooter and I went out and sighted it in and were pounding prairie dogs with it yesterday at 250-300 yards. For the money that scope was a no brainer. Its nice to have a couple scopes in the safe that you can throw on a rifle and go shoot like that. The BDC worked great on those dogs

Thanks again for the heads up

You're welcome!

I posted that information for the good of the whole, as I have before when I come across what looks like a good deal.

I was surprised by the amount of push-back on the French mil-surp gore-tex jackets that I posted about awhile back. The seller was, probably still is, Cheaper Than Dirt, a retailer some people really don't like.

I also bought two of these scopes to go on the Marlin XS7s in 243 that I bought for $250 per from Palmetto State Armory, but haven't mounted them yet.

I put one of these on my son's new Remington, over 10 years
ago, and they are a very nice scope. I am tempted, I wonder
how close they are to the latest Leupold VX1.

I bet these are very close or better. It would be nice if someone
could compare these 2.

Thanks 260Remguy, Picked up one of the RAR 22 WMR that were on sale and picked up one of these Nikon BM scopes at the Lone Tree store in Denver to use on it. Nice looking scope for $100 bucks. Did have a bit of a problem getting it as none of the sales people knew of the sale or the difference between the BM and the BMII. It was on the shelf for $229.99. Good thing you posted the K714343 number.

These are not the actual Buckmasters scopes you would get at other retailers. This has been discussed on various other forums and what guys are getting is very close in appearance to the old Pro Staffs with the coin adjustable turrets. There is a lot of speculation that's all they are with the Buckmasters name slapped on it. They have been on sale for quite a while with Cabela's, but this is the lowest I've seen them. They are no where near the current VX-1.

$100 vs $200 Don't believe there is $100 worth of difference to my old eyes. Using this for 22 mag, plenty of scope and lots of scope for the money.
