Scott I just got back from a PD shoot and one of the rifles my pard was shooting was a 6.5 Creedmoor in the heavy Ruger. It was impressive....

That's cool. Stepdads shooting one in a american and friend got one of the cabelas vanguards a couple years ago. Real good round. 6.5 Creedmoor is an amazing little bugger. Kills as good as they shoot too.

I gotta tell you, I am a big fan of the 6.5 Creedmoor. I've yet to shoot a head of game with it, but the cartridge is a pure pleasure to shoot, and the accuracy is very pleasing.
I just with there were lightweight options for the Creedmoor. It seems that everyone wants to build heavy target rifles for the cartridge.
I could be tickled with a Tikka T3 in the Creedmoor, or a 700 Mountain Rifle.

Negative, regular Hawkeye, standard barrel contour (24"), it was in the Ruger black plastic stock but I had a spare SA Walnut stock laying about.
Thought it looked pretty snappy...
