About 20" wide with decent forks but no mass, I'd say 138".

It's a young buck that might score 130. Thin horns, good width, good forks, so may have the potential to score well when he's at least 5 years old.

Based on someone's observation it is 20" wide I come up with about 134".

It looks to me to wider than 20", like maybe 24". Based on that, I would say 145".

Thanks guys, I've been offered a Muley hunt and the guy says to expect 130"-140" bucks and I was tying to get an idea of what that looks like.

That's what we call a young, possibly 1st year 4-point. He's got a big body...which is good...remember you can't eat horns. I'd shoot him, but like others have said, he'll be a real nice one in a couple of years.

I cant see a first year buck deer with a body filled out like that.

That Buck is hard to judge because of the fact that the ears are standing straight up in the photo. He might score 130, but he will be pushing it.
Nice semetrical genes, though. I say let him spread his genetics for another year or so.
If he was on my Ranch, he would be off limits for at least another year.
JMO, though. For whatever it's worth.

I would guess that he is around 24 inches if his ears were spread out. That would put him in the 120-130 range. My Daughter and Granddaughters would happily take him. I would say closer to 120 then 130.

to me he looks fairly young to mid age, thin antlers, and needs a few years.

Body does not look big enough to be mature.

I can't ever see him being first set of antlers though... especially with that body...

But I don't have mule deer here either.

Good one! Very good.

If you count both sides like we do in whitetails, (for the record I usually don't count either side), I'm guessing right under 130". I can't judge age on it -- body shape is very different from a whitetail.

Steve.
