I tried RL17 with 140 Accubonds and got to 2800 fps with a moderately compressed charge - don't recall the exact charge weight, but it was at least 48 grains. Didn't try more powder, as I just don't like heavily compressed loadings.

I've run 45.5gr RL17 with 140gr Partitions for 2750fps out of a 22" barrel. Doesn't set the world on fire, but it's the same velocity I get out of Federal factory Vital-Shok.

I've had good velocity and good groups shooting 140 gr Sierra HPGK using 46.5 gr RL-17. Right at 2900 fps per my notes, but this looks a little fast. This was in an X-Bolt with 22" barrel.

I tried it with 140 Ballistic Tip and my rifle just didn't like it at all. Best group was over 1 3/4". RL-15 does fine with the 120 Barnes and the 140BT is a real winner with RL-19 (5/8" @ 2900). I'm busy settling on a Pronghorn/Mule Deer load for this fall, but I'm thinking of trying 17 with a 150ABLR when I get some extra time to play.

Haven't tried Re17 in my 7-08s, but think I will. Anybody used it with 120 grain bullets? Ramshot Big Game is by far my favorite with the 120s, but can't find any of it anywhere. Tried Varget last weekend, with decent accuracy, but not nearly as good.

RL17 and 150NBT are my favorite combo in my 7-08AI From my 23" barrel 46.2gr gets 2795 and very accurate. Use for everything deer, coyote, crows, rocks, etc..
