Tom,
Yes it is. Bud's Gun Shop is clearing them for $240 shipped.
It would be a great little gun to own and maybe let your young man hunt with as well as yourself.29-1/2" long with a 16-1/2" barrel. You will really like the small size but it is deadly on deer I understand. Looks like but definitely ain't a toy.

Goalie, Have you experienced any feeding problems with the Ruger?

Nope. I bought two extra mags (have three total) and they all have functioned just fine for at least two loadings each.

I really like the rifle so far, and will be trying the Nosler ballistic tips next (125g ones made to expand down to 1800fps). I hope I don't have feeding issues with those.

Goalie,
What is the twist on the Ruger? I would be glad to send you some 125 Nosler bullets to try if you want a dozen or so. That's about all I have left. I also have some 110 grain.

Rooster, Thanks for asking. She is kinda in the middle of it all. Maybe the next few days will find her on the down hill side.

The Ruger is a 1/8 twist. I have some of the 125's already loaded up, but thanks for the offer.

I hope the wife is doing better. Shingles suck moose balls.

You broke it?

Damn!

Lol!

Sorry, I been quiet here but I'm still kicking.

Work in the classic car shop wears me out.

Pam has a new car.

53 Ford.

It photographs well, its a fun driver quality car. Something of our own to tinker with and fix up sometime in the future.

The only major thing we have in front of us is an eye surgery for Nathan tomorrow morning. It is supposed to be a very simple procedure but its still nerve wracking and they do need to out him under for the procedure.

He gets to come home the same day, so we will be on the road early in the morning tomorrow and back home tomorrow evening.

I think I will be working by myself in the shop on Friday. That's fine, we have a 71 Camaro in the paint booth, ready for its 1st 2/stages of primer. I can start on that Friday morning.

Then we will see what the weekend brings. I know we need to mow the yard at home here. The rain has been just frequent enough to make it hard to get that done.

If we get caught up on things at home, maybe we can get out to the cabin this weekend to do the first mowing of the year. It must look terrible out there. I bet the grass is 2 ft high and who knows what kind of branch mess we have. The road needs a bunch of work too.

I will try to update tomorrow on Nathan's eye surgery tomorrow.

Best wishes to Nathan and his doctors. Our Ella had eye surgery a couple years ago, tough to see your kid put under and wheeled away. The results were worth it. Hope he heals up quickly.

Nathan is in waiting for anesthesia.

Pretty serious guy, trying not to look nervous, doing a pretty good job of it too.

I always called it "duck on a pond."

They look all calm on the outside but under that water their legs are just chugging right along all willy-nilly. smile

You'll be fine Nate.

So I'm starting to get the fever already. I'm not sure why I have it so soon but I do. I'm going to put up a trail cam this weekend already. At a potential stand site I've been looking at in aerial photos.

Usually I get it from not playing outside enough during the summer but that's not the case this time. I've been out plenty, fishing, camping, general goofing off, 4-wheeling.

I think I just got the bug.
