I've killed a few tree squirrels with a blow gun but this is my first rabbit.

Nice shootn. My son and I use bamboo darts with a piece of pool noodle to make them float for frog gigging.

Its been a few years since I messed with a blowgun. They can be quite accurate with a little practice. This one is my 7 yr olds; had to break it in for him. He watched the kill and was quite impressed.

Louis,

I had one and killed piles of schit with it. I ended up giving it to a buddy that hunted with them more than I did though.

Cold Steel's are kick ass and you can buy an almost endless amount of darts for them. We used the mini-broad head version and the stun darts more than any of the others. The bamboo ones really sail but weren't as good for killing.

I had one years ago that was one of the most fun "things' I ever messed with! I had a lot of time on my hands to practice back then, and got good enough with it to make regular kills on tree roaches outside the house. I did kill a possum with it once, I think, but it was a slow process - he just kept sitting in the tree, getting shot, until finally he fell out. Made some great shots on stray cats with the stun darts, also. One of my son's buddies stole it, I think, but I have another now, need to start shooting it more!

+1 for the Cold Steel guns. They're built hell for stout, and are true to their "big bore" name.............they use ALL the air your lungs can provide.

The blunt/stun darts hit hard enough to dent soup cans.

The small blow guns are fun too, but can't hang with the Cold Steel models.

Are those "blunts" you are shooting at rabbits?

The blunts are for shooting cans and annoying dogs.
