I have been offered what I THINK is a good deal on an older Red Label but don't have any experience with them. Blued receiver, 12 gauge, 28" barrels, choke tubes... It has had less than two boxes of shells put through it according to the current owner. Based on the blued receiver, it has to be a good 30 years old if memory serves correct, and it looks like it is brand new. The wood is nice dark, rich color and is flawless. This girl has been a safe queen..

Like I said, I have no experience with them though.
Are thry good shotguns? It would be a hunting gun and used for an occaissional round of skeet and trap... Thoughts... Opinions...

If it has whipped cream and chocolate drizzles on it, it’s dessert. Grow up and get a coffee damnit

I don't think you can go wrong with a Ruger. I'm very fond of their O/U's-have owned 7 (mostly in 20ga) and now have an older fixed choked skeet & skeet and a 28ga with choke tubes. Ruger makes a very fine shotgun and they are a great value for the money. Perfect for hunting and for clays.

According to the Blue Book, choke tubes became optional in 1988 standard in 1990.
Stainless steel frame became standard on the 12 ga. in 1985.
Here`s a link to Ruger product history.
You can age your Ruger by the serial #.

I picked up one of the Ruger All Weathers with 30" barrels about 1 1/2 years ago.
I`ve yet to shoot it frown

I have a 12 gauge with choke tubes and blued receiver. It was used but came with the box. I don't shoot it but I believe the box stated it came with choke tubes. I guess I will have to dig it out and check it out.
