Got a call from a friend who was contacted by a guy he knows to come and look at some guns in an estate sale. I went with him and ended up purchasing a CZ 75B in 9mm. The gun had not been cleaned in a while and I ended up with it for $150. I also bought a NIB Rossi 92 M in 44 mag and a NIB CZ Bobwhite 20 gauge shotgun.

Anyway, I took the CZ apart last night and spent some time on it with a little steel wool, some rem-oil, some hoppes and a bore brush and it cleaned up damn nice! These CZ's are tough. I wish I had taken a before photo but it looks as good as my little CZ 75 compact and its essentially new

after taking them apart, i too was impressed. Kind of like an improved hi power.

I never seem to find these deals.

The CZ75 is a truly outstanding pistol.

CZ's don't get a whole lot of play here . . .
But they sure mean a lot to those who got 'em!

I just bought this used 85B and it's a better rig than most that cost a lot more. It has upgraded sights, hammer and a lighter MS. This is my new favorite 9mm.
It's real accurate, and too reminds me of a BHP.

i put somewhere between three to four boxes of wolfe el cheapo 9mm through a full size 75b and a 75c this weekend. Both israeli guns made by cz. The compact was marked masada on the slide.
Easy and polite to shoot, but the added little amount of weight made the full size a little more fun.
Since i was just banging away i didn't try shooting a regular target.
I can say with the full size one those water bottles every body carries around were in danger. At about 25yards i shot four in a row, before i ran out of bottles. Impressed the snot out of me.
These israeli imports are about half the price of a new purty one.

Does anyone have experience with the SAO model? I've kinda been itching to try one, but I have never had one in my hands to try the trigger out.

Yes,

The triggers are good but not perfect. I generally will take them apart and clean up the trigger a touch just to make it more crisp and remove any creep. But other than that, there's not much to dislike about that pistol at all.

umm ok I will give you $160 for it. holy crap what a score. IF the CZ were as old as the 1911 and made in the USA it would be more popular than the 1911 is now. with a trigger job the CZ is the ultimate range gun.

Thanks Kevin. I see them every once in awhile on GB and I'm beginning to think that I need one.

What's crazy is that the guy called me the next day and said he found 6 clips for it and to come get them. Yesterday I was in Jax sporting goods in loveland and heard a guy ask about CZ 75 clips and they don't sell them. I told him I had a couple in the truck and we walked out and he gave me $50 for two of them
