Picked up a Rossi yesterday at an estate sale. It says PUMA M92 on it and its chambered in 44 mag. It has the longer octagonal barrel on it. Seems like a sweet little lever gun. Does anybody know anything about these?

I have one and really like it.
You might have to smooth some of the internals, but that is an easy task.

I have a Puma M92 (45C) that could benefit from a smoother action. Thanks for the tip budman5.

No problems , hope your action works out slicker than whale spit.
The suggestion about shimming your trigger spring isn't really needed, as the screw is actually long and just has to be backed out a turn or two. Mine breaks at 2.5 lbs.

I have one in 454C and it is with me in my utv all day long. extraordinarily accurate for a carbine and has enough umph to take care of anything I might run into including Grizzly's and moose. only thing I don't care for is the safety on top.

I have two of 'em in .45 Colt. One is an older Interarms import, while the stainless is a newer Braztech. i was a bit hesitant of the newer version with the safety, but it's fairly slick out of the box and darn accurate.

I think you'll be well pleased with it.

is that the original wood? nice color and figure anyway.
I had to replace the butt stock on mine. the wrist was shattered by a misguided clubbing by the previous owner.
good wood can be had from precisiongunstocks.com
