I didn't draw anything again this year. I'll just be hunting general deer, elk, bear, and cougar season again this year.

Congrats Fred. I'm thinking about a early high buck hunt for mule deer . I've never been in any of the wilderness areas in the Cascades so the planning, resurch, and scouting will be just like a Drew a good tag

Drew a big ZERO on all my special tags. Now sitting on 17 points. It is interesting that the units that I hunt elk in, I am running into guys that are on their 3rd branched antler tag. Washington state game department is one of the most screwed up agencies in the world. They are only interested in collecting money anymore. They use to be good to work with, but the last 10 years they are worthless. They micro manage the units and have split everything up to the point that even the game agents don't know all the new units, sub-units, and sub-sub-units. They blessed us this year by adding two more days to our deer season so now we are up to 11 days, WOW. They have done the same with the fish regs also. The rivers are now split into units and they open and close these units on a weekly or sometime daily basis. Once I draw my branched antler tag it will be the last dollar the Washington state game dept. gets from me. I will hunt Idaho or Montana.

Cool that's a good hunt for rutted up whitetail. start your reacher now if you do not have a good place in mind already. I have hunted it up on the north end with great opportunities, missed a nice buck could not shot a monster 180+ as it was on land I had not gained permission on. Ended with a nice three point that was much more than I expected. I know a limit of razor clams or some crab goes a long way in those parts. I even take a couple dozen oysters along to barter with. 😎
