He said it didn't like to be loaded hot. My guess is he observed groups opening up with charge increases, i.e., it was going out of tune.
My take is there's so much headroom available that charges could be further increased to bring it back in, all the while keeping pressure in line. He didn't get it over the hump. Starting to horn me up, I love to hump!!!

Good on the casull... I gotta ask HE, didja kiss, find pressure and rock on?? Nah, I'm a short range meat hunter. Just usually load to book length. Nosler bullets out of Nosler Manual, Sierra to Sierra Specs, Hornady from Hornady Manual, etc. And, as an aside, I don't try to get 257 Wby. velocities out of a 250 Savage etc. GWB

Calling Russ Monday this needs a tac300 to tie up the mess. Think a heavy 300 win mag will be a great couch rifle 24" 1/10t , mcE was even going to slum a rem 700 trigger on her. Just left over parts anyone need 308 barrels I have a couple extra around.

Smoked this one hopping on one foot to make it a challenge (no really had a bum wheel ) helps to be an elk magnet.
