hey a long shot but here goes anyway. anyone with personal experiance (good or bad) on the above said make and model? we've had a 2003 Expedition since 2005 and at 190+k miles on it the ghost may be near. went out today and thought a rod was about to come through the block. anyway found a deal on a 2008 with 6x,xxx miles on it at a nice price. it is the XL model and is fully loaded. what reports i could find on line for this year was pretty good. it has the 5.4L 6 speed trans. going to go look at it tonight hopefully.

Ive got a 07 f150 same engine and trans. Its got 209,000 on it and still runs good has some cam phaser noise but that is common not trans problems yet. Mine has been pretty bullet proof so far.

I have a 2007 Exp and its a great ride. Very smooth, almost car like imo. It has the 6 speed tranny which should get you better gas mileage. I had a 00 and she was a hog.

140K and runs perfectly. Unfortunately I have ball joints that need replacing.

We've had an 2008 for about the last 4 years. It has been a great vehicle. I've kept up on the maintenance since we got it & have had minor repairs with the exception of having to replace the coil packs. Other than that, it has been a winner. Presently at 180K miles and still going strong.
