I am going to sell my '46 Willys CJ2a and am having a hard time deciding what to ask. There's no way to get out what's been spent, and I'm well aware of that but I want to sell it not give it away either.
It's far from stock, and to list everything would be long winded, but... it's got a full cage, Kevlar body, Dana 44's, V6, 4 speed, 5:38's with limited slips, etc.
Any ideas?

A good start would be to calculate how much you have spent and divide by 2.

I'd be thrilled but finding someone in the market for a tricked out Jeep isn't easy.
Grand total so far is probably really close to $30k maybe even more. If I could get $10k back that would be great. I was thinking about maybe asking $7500.

Might want to change your avatar since it shows the jeep on its side... I like it. If it was north of the 49th I would be chatting with my wife right now. SS

My avi is proof the cage was worth the money! My oldest had to try in out when he came to visit on spring break. There's a pretty steep hill just out of frame he came down like a circus clown.

Nice looking jeep Nate. You might want to go here and follow some of the adds to see what they are bringing. http://willysforsale.com/ My guess would be somewhere between $7K (low) to $9K waiting for the right buyer but, it's just a guess. Best of luck with your sale.

Nice Ken, Yellow's just a bit flashy for me. TC1 thanks for that link. I'll put it on there as well.

Heck Nate, list it right here on 24HR.
It's free and even if there is no local interest, a lot of folks travel/vacation through the West!
Looks like a fine unit, best wishes on the sale.

Well I listed it. Tire kickers so far. I put it up on Craigslist and "Willys for sale", same thing lots of Q's and requests for pics, no cash.
Guess car adds is next.

Hey Nate, I just found this thread, but I recognized your CJ from Craigslist a few days ago. I'm hunting for a clean CJ2 but want an original steel body and the L134. I almost pulled the trigger on a local one but the owner covered some poorly patched rust with bed liner. Without the bed liner I'd have bought it.
