Pard caught a silver out of Seward week before last that went 17, too bad the derby isn't until next month. Beauty of a chromer though, they fight like dolphins when they're bright like that.

Can't make a lateral line look more pronounced no matter how much camera trickery is involved.

That’s a dead giveaway that most of them are not serious fishermen. That fish has to be at least 60# by now in any serious fishermen’s eye/mind/memory.... My interest in the technique was piqued when the first two cuts were vertical behind the pectoral and behind the adipose. The filet was 'trimmed' to about 2-1/2 inches from D/V.
