I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

Very nice moose! I bet it was fun, though, rearranging the room for that mount.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. I was pretty impressed with the taxidermy done on the moose, which is why I decided to post it. Greg Brumfield of Clifton, CO did the work on the moose.
It was quite the job moving the elk, which was where the moose is now, and then hanging the moose. My wife is actually the one that suggested I put all of these in the same room this way since she said it looks more like a trophy room. It is a pretty small room, so I was worried it might be a bit overwhelming, but I really didn't have much choice since there isn't anywhere else I can hang big mounts. What you don't see is that on the opposing wall from the moose and elk are a caribou and a whitetail deer mounts.
The Dall ram was taken in 2004 in the Alaskan Range. He really isn't a huge ram, I think he measures out at 36. That was the first year that AK initiated the full curl requirement and the trooper used the "string" measurement method to determine if he was legal. He was, but the trooper sure seemed to enjoy making us sweat over it.

Nice bull and mount.
All I have when I get around to mounting mine from last fall, is 8 foot ceilings... should be fun... LOL.

Thanks guys. Glad I'm not the only one that appreciates a trophy mount these days. I sure don't like forking over the cash for the work, but I sure do enjoy them when they're hung up and I can admire them everyday. Therefore, the expense is worth it to me. Of course, who knows what will happen to them when I kick the bucket. Maybe my kids will appreciate them and give them a home, but if not, I'll be long gone and beyond caring!
