There is a clean one in the local gun store I am thinking about buying. Anyone on the fire have experience with the Ruger in 7 WSM?

Well, everyone does so I'm sure they do too; but I've never had a turd Ruger.
Not a WSM fan, but I say go for it.

They are hard to come by when ol Rick Jamison won the lawsuit with Winchester and every company that produced the WSM they had to pay a royalty to him for the WSM cartridge. Ruger said [bleep] all that noise and stopped chambering majority of the WSM rounds minus the 300 wsm I think. I buy it if it was priced right just because they are hard to come by..

If I was going to buy a short-fat .300 it would be one of the Ruger .300 RCM's cdnnsports.com has for sale.

$499 Synthetic/stainless/irons/20"
$499 Walnut/blue/irons/20"
$499 Walnut/blue/22"
$549-$999 Others including LH, laminate/16.5" and #1

I'd also buy a lifetime supply of brass.

No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.

A good .30-06 is a 99% solution.

For me these days, it's all about the rifle, not the cartridge, so if you like it, buy it.

What fresh Hell is this?
