Guys, I just listed my T3 Stainless 223 in the classifieds. 1-10" twist and the rifle is NIB. PM me for info or photos.

Is the .223 built on a short action?
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

No, the T3, unlike the Whitetail Hunter, is based on a long action and uses magazine blocks which keeps the bolt travel to a minimum.

Is the Tikka Whitetail Hunter rifle built on a true short action in .223?
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

yes it is. It's a great rifle, not as light as the T3 but every bit a Tikka and if you can find a short action, you'll be thrilled with it.

Thanks, sort of been on a hunt for "true" lefty short actions as of late and was going to buy a lefty SPS in .223 just to save for a possible project down the road but might buy the Tikka Whitetail Hunter instead.
