... All but the 338 have been closer to 1/2 MOA. Could be I just didn't shoot it as well. Kicked like 2 sons-a-bitches. NO! Really ? Couldn't imagine why! (all friendly sarcasm) It was pretty funny actually. I got the 338 and headed over to a place I owned in the sticks to let her rip a time or two. There was an old fella lived just up the road a little piece. He was sitting on his porch when I went past. A wave and a nod there as I pulled into the property. I toss a couple sandbags on the hood of the pick-up and stick up a target. So there I am peering through the scope of the T3,thinking more about the trigger than anything else. I light up one of the 225gr Hornady hand loads. Now this isn't the first 338 Winny I ever owned, but what a hoot! After a nice fireball,a tap on the forehead (no cut, just a reminder),and a well deserved expletive. I hear the old fella up the road laughing on the porch. He apparently thought my reference to the all mighty, sex, and a Missouri mule was pretty funny. The next couple shots got the respect they deserved. And a little better grip on the rig.

I've had 11 t3's and picked up my 12th this weekend (223 8 twist). I expect it to shoot just like all my others, which is excellent.

Has anyone used a .260 on game in the Tikka? I haven't used the .260, but I have used the Tikka T3 6.5x55, which is its ballistic twin and is an absolute sweetheart of a rifle. 140 Nosler Partitions are deadly on deer and I would not hesitate to use it on any North American big game, short of the big bears.

A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”
