You guys owe it to yourselves to check them out. Jim, about to wring out your old 270. Mounted up a Bushnell LRHS 3-12 30mm. Did you shoot this old girl at all, if so, with what?? Kinda lookin forward to it. It's all fun and games right?... But I had to get help from a gunsmith member on the fire to figure out the relationship of all the screws and what sequence to set them, they're a little complicated! Lots of guys with the newer 110's seek out the three screw triggers as replacements for the later two screw setups. I've got another grain or so to go to max, and I'm hoping it tightens up as I go up. I look for the old style stock and metal features of the early rifles. So far those have had the three screw triggers. Savage made their cost cutting measures in 1960 on 99's, but on 110's I think the three screw triggers held on to 1965 or later. The 22-250 is 1965 and it's a three screw.
