Always like to see those vintage M/70's being used for what they were intended.

Okay, I'll be the first. What is the animal? I know you guys have a lot of different animals than we do up here, and I know it's not a platypus, a koala or a kangaroo but I have to plead ignorance on your game species. Congratulations, by the way. yooper

I have always wanted to hunt New Zeeland but regretfully probably won't get there. What caliber is that fine Winchester Chambered in?

30/06, yep she's a Red hind. The area I was in (Tararuas) typically doesn't produce animals with decent antlers, so we use it as a larder for those meat gathering trips.

Great pics, and that's a fine looking long shank you got there, FRST.

Very cool. My boy is living in New Zealand right now. Cool SG...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Congratulations! It's awesome seeing these pre-64s in action, especially an early SG! Eric
