I don't allow myself to click on Bowen's website more than once a year. The man (and his crew) write the definition of craftsmanship.

Something in the .38-40, and .32-20/.327, and .357, and perhaps the .25-20 range is missing from that otherwise amazing line up.

Love that Nimrod! A little more personality that my FA offers.

Some time back I took my Stainless Bisley .45 Colt to him and had him do his action job, freewheel pawl, target rear and front sight, and install his oversize base pin.
Later, I had cylindersmith open the throats (kinda wish I had had that done by Bowen as well). The finished product simply hits where pointed. Easily.

As I live in Middle TN, I took the pistol to him and went back to pick it up. Not only is he a top notch 'smith, he's a heck of a nice guy. I could've talked to him all day, but made every effort not to.

I'll probably be buried with my Bisley, unless I have him build me a really nice "BBQ" gun someday........

They are factory black micarta grips. Picked them up somewhere. I thought they looked great on the stainless gun.

The 45 is the only one that I ordered as I wanted it. I should have scanned the letter that he sent me when he was going to start working on mine. Looks like it was typed with an old manual typewriter and the letters were all out of line. I'll see if I can remember to scan it at work tomorrow.

I hear you. I've been looking at this 25-20. Probably not a bad deal with the book if you've seen what they've been selling for lately.

Buddy of mine has one that Bowen did in .480 like your 1st one posted there. That thing is fun to shoot, and un-believably accurate!
Bowen's work, while not cheap, is worth every penny, IMO!

A .25-20 Bowen would kick so much ass that Chuck Norris would be in awe.

Very nice collection.

My pick of the litter is the .45 Colt.

The Fishpaw grips on the .44 are superb as always.
