Looking at purchasing a used Rifles inc Strata built when the company was in Utah. Wondering if anyone who owns one could weigh in on how they like their rifle.

Any issues people have encountered? Any problem areas to look for?

Thanks for the input.

I have only 1. A 30-06 AI. It is a very handy rifle to carry and shoots very well. I am not a fan of the muzzle brake but it is effective.

I've been in and out of numerous custom rifles, mostly light to mid weight sporters. My favorite, and one of the few that I've held onto, is a Rifles Inc Strada in 243. The fit and finish is excellent. It functions/feeds flawlessly. It is as light or lighter than NULA's. Accuracy is superb with bullets ranging from 80 - 105 grains and its not picky, I've had to do very little load development. I know the MPI stock gets a bad rap at the campfire but mine is excellent, as stiff or more stiff than the McMillans and Manners that I still have.

BTW, mine does not have a muzzle brake. I won't have a hunting rifle with a muzzle break.

The one I've owned was either a 7wsm or 7RM - its been several years. Though it was well-used, it still shot sub-moa. The action wasn't as smooth as custom actions, but it was a quality build.

I have one in 284 and have had two other models, one in 25/06 and another in 416 Remimgton. All have been well executed. The 284 Lightweight Strata has shot .5 MOA groups at 400 yards with the 140-gr TTSX bullets.

Based on that I would not hesitate to go for it.

Edit: no muzzle brakes on my rifles.
