I have been using 10 lb Berkley vanish for fluorocarbon leader material on my trout trolling rigs.
I have no problems with it, but I was wondering what everybody else uses.
My first spool is almost gone, should I get more Berkley vanish, or is there a better option ?

I much prefer Seaguar to Vanish. I found Vanish to be stiff and kinky compared to the Seaguar floro. I use 10# also.

I tied on 50 feet of Cabela's store brand 6lb test about three or four years ago on my light rig. There's probably better out there but I've caught plenty of trout on this and never had a problem with it.

Seaguar is the way to go. Vanish kinks and breaks. Its more expensive but pro rate it out of the years you get use out of it and its not bad.

Yup.....Seagaur......Berkley left me after one trial use.

I'll try a spool of Seaguar.

I got a spool of "Seagar" Blue, 100% Fluorocarbon leader, a few thoughts.
It costs twice as much as the Brekley. $10.99 for 25 yards.
It's much thinner, it looks/feels like 6 lb.
It's very limber, flexable, and (the biggest difference) it is much easier to tye knots with, they snug down tight and secure quickly with littel effort.
