After so many posts, WHO CARES ? Let's delete it and use the space for something useful. I care. You'll be gone long before it will. If you don't like it, don't look at it. Do you really think Rick would delete the thread on this site that get the most hits? Speaking of hits... I believe you've had too many. Time to set your pipe down and let it mellow for a while. BODC thread is something of an accident, it was never planned to blow up into this huge thing. It started out as a question about cabin/hunting shack construction. And about classic American hunting camp rituals, general practices and collective considerations that I could choose from and incorporate into our camp as we launched this effort... The effort itself was for healing purposes, it all came at the heels of a horrible loss. I definitely wore my heart on my sleeve back then. I still kind of do, but not like back then. To me, the amazing part about the whole thread is the positive participation that reaches beyond our US borders. It's like the world's gift to me, so many fantastic people supporting and contributing to our efforts. I'm trying not to get long winded here in a thread about deleting a thread... Lol. It honestly doesn't matter to me if the thread stays or goes. I think everybody knows that's true. Rick certainly knows it. I guess I should probably read the thread. I've heard of people doing that and they seemed happy and stuff... I probably should, a little reflection is sometimes good.

ND: The BODC thread incorporates all that is good about the Campfire. Good friends, family,positive upbeat topics,even sentimentality. We can say this about no other thread...It is a " Must Stay"..

Many of us here do some hunting vicariously through Dave and the Chickenbuck crew. My health has not been good the last couple years, and much over a half day in the woods really burns me out. I look forward to reading BOADC every day. Lots of us go there for a common bond, and though we may never darken the doorway at Chickenbuck, we feel very connected to Dave and his crew. It's been very fun watching his boys grow up right before our very eyes. Nice to see good kids, and good folks having fun and building lasting memories together, and his thread, in a small way, gives us a chance to be a part of it.
Carry on Dave, and good luck to the Chickenbuckers this fall.
