Im going to get a 375 h&h magnum. Im 100% sure of that. I will probaly get a winchester model 70 but i am open to different manufacturers. I was thinking the model 70 shadow elite with a stainless barrel would be nice, but then i saw the extreme weather 2 on there. I dont live in a remote place, but i might go to alaska or africa one day, and i want this rifle to last me a lifetime. Is the extreme weather worth that much more money? And if anyone has a different model or manufacturer i am open to it. Just as long as it is somewhat lightweight and it will be durable.

None of those rifles you mentioned are chambered in the 375 H&H if I you want a model 70 in a 375 you will have to get the Alaskan or safari express.. If you want an extreme weather get one in a 338 win mag you will be set for anything in north and America

Uh ok.... The extreme weather was introduced out of the fn plant and the 375 h&h was not offered. No stainless synthetic 375 were ever produced out of the FN in plant in South Carolina.. The only stainless 375 they made out of the fn plant was stainless Alaskan which had a laminated stock on it.. The only stainless 375 made out of the new haven plant was the stainless Classic...

I will agree with 79S on the 338. I have "The Ugly Gun" a Ruger M77 stainless synthetic in 338 and have taken it to Alaska and Africa twice each. A tough and durable rifle in a great caliber.

If you want a Winchester 375 H&H get the best a pre64 M70. Second choice (if you can call it that) A Ruger in 375 Ruger.

I think a 375 ruger guide gun will do. But I will get it dipped in camo or something so it wont be so ugly. Should work for everything i will ever hunt. Thinking about a leupold vx6 on it. Thanks for the responses
